My First Paper is about one of the most famous novel by Virginia Woolf, an English writer located in the Bloomsbury Group: Mrs. Dalloway. This novel shows to the readers one of the main topics of this author: feminism. First of all, in the Introduction there are more information about what I’ m going to explain, how and why. Secondly, I focus on the motor characters of the novel in Clarissa Dalloway and Septimus Warren Smith, where there is the base of this Paper. Then, I have searched some information about Virginia Woolf’ s life which I think it is relevant in order to understand the novel. So, if you click on Virginia Woolf’ s life compared to Mrs. Dalloway, you will read the connection between both author and work. It is the author’ s life portrayed in Mrs. Dalloway. After that, Feminism in Virginia Woolf portrayed in Mrs. Dalloway displays features, signals or words in the novel which remain to feminism. Finally, I add my own conclusion about all ideas I have presented and developed.
Auto-evaluation:
I’ ve first analysed the main character of the novel. Also, I’ ve analysed the other main character. Then, I’ ve compared them with the aim of deepening the character of Clarissa. In addition, I’ ve investigated Virginia Woolf’ s personal life. After that, I’ ve analysed feminism, reading again Mrs. Dalloway and comparing fragments in the book to feminist ideas in order to accomplished what actually Woolf wanted to transmit through this novel.
The result: I’ ve first discovered the actual Clarissa Dalloway, not only using dialogues and relationships with other characters, but also using thoughts, feelings and her comparison to Septimus. Secondly, I’ ve presented how did Virginia Woolf’ s life have an effect in the book. Furthermore, I’ ve displayed feminism through the novel. In short, I would give to myself an 8 because I’ ve accomplished my aim successfully.
